MMV Studio is located near Box, Wiltshire.

MMV Studio offers a friendly service and good quality recording facilities at a competitive rate. Established in 2005 by Martin Jones, to record musicians from solo and duo, to six piece bands, comfortably.

Pro quality (24/96) digital recording via MOTU ten in, ten out audio interface to a PC. Various outboards, eg compressors, gates and equalisation, plus a good range of microphones are available, giving that professional edge to your recording.

Retro sounding analogue can give that 'warmth' to recodings. MMV use a TASCAM 38, eight channel reel to reel recorder using half inch tape. The TASCAM can also be synchronized to the MOTU digital recording. Most multi channel tape recordings will then be transfered via outboards to high quality digital audio, for mixing, thus retaining the character of tape. Mastering can be done onto most formats. Headphones are available for monitoring, making it easy to add tracks: eg vocal harmony layering. Certain instuments, such as drums, can be isolated to prevent overspill into other recording mics.
